Advantages of feedback
  1. Negative feedback stabilizes the gain of the amplifier.
  2. Input resistance increases for certain feedback configurations.
  3. Output resistance decreases for certain feedback configurations.
  4. Operating point is stabilized.

Disadvantage: Reduction in gain.

Advantages of Negative feedback: Negative feedback can reduce the gain of the amplifier, but it has many advantages, such as-
• Gain stabilization,
• Reduction of nonlinear distortion and noise,
• Control of input and output impedance, and
• Extension of bandwidth.

Applications of negative feedback:
• In a1most all the electronic amplifiers.
• In the regulated power supplies.
• In amplifiers (amplifiers having a large bandwidth)

Applications Positive Feedback: The application of positive feedback is in oscillators.
